The children’s world of Flight Path.
Explore Creations . . .
Long before adulthood asks children to choose who they will become, they are already learning what life can look like.
Creations is an original world of characters, places, stories, puppetry, books, media, and live experiences designed to introduce ideas such as belonging, creativity, confidence, communication, love, discernment, receiving, possibility, generosity, boundaries, responsibility, and agency.
Never as a lecture.
Never because children need to be fixed.
Fun comes first. Meaning lives underneath.
More than 50 years in the making.
The roots of Creations reach back more than half a century.
For more than 50 years, Laura Doughty’s father, Melvyn Doughty, led creative-arts and drama retreats for thousands of young people in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Puppetry, theatre, storytelling, music, participation, and imagination were woven throughout the experience — and young people were even taught how to create puppet groups of their own when they returned home.
That history became part of Laura long before Flight Path existed.
Today, Creations carries that creative DNA forward for a new generation.
It is not intended as a memorial to what came before. It is an entirely new world — built from the same belief that creativity is something young people should not merely watch.
They should be invited inside it.
